When I meet new people, they always think I’m younger than I actually am. I still get carded for a margarita, at YoungLife events some of the parents look at me wondering if I’m the adult or just another high schooler. When I’m with my brother Cameron (who is 5.5 years younger than me) people can’t figure out who might be older, or hey, maybe we’re twins. Over the years I’ve just gotten used to it and I’ve come to terms with the fact that I will probably always look younger than my age and eventually I will love that.
But today I feel old – I just got a facebook message informing me about our 10-year high school reunion next June. Woah.
You will LOVE it the rest of your life – trust me!
I was the 19 year-old who married her high school boyfriend. HA! And trust me I got that face a lot. I know the young thing. I still get people who I know are trying to figure out why Melanie is calling her nanny “Mommy!”
