inheritance

I have this friend who inherited the skinny-blond-tan-easily-in-the-summer-eat-basically-anything-they-want-without-gaining-a-pound gene. It makes me sick. Cause if you know my family, you know what we all have in common. The three of us Gwaltney kids were given the forehead. Yeah, you know the one I’m talking about. So it was raining the other day. I mean, pouring. My clothes were drenched, everything I was carrying was soaked, and my hair was a mess. So I get to work, clip my bangs back with bobbypins and just hope that I don’t signal in any planes looking for a bright white blank space to land. This cute little girl comes in, one of my favorite little kids, and without saying hi, or how are you, or hello, or any other form of typical greeting, she says, “That’s your forehead.”

Thanks for noticing.
