I realized yesterday, on my way to meet friends for dinner, that it was exactly one year ago that I made the decision that would change my life. I had no idea what was in store for me in the next 12 months, good or bad, but I knew that I had no other choice but to move forward and just keep going. Despite the chaos that surrounded the first few months, the last year of my life has been my best ever and I can’t imagine it any other way.
Today I thank God for the courage to stand up for myself, the hope that his will for me is better than anything I can plan for myself, and the peace of knowing that I’m right where He wants me to be.
April 13th, 2012 was a really great day. And I expect there will be many more.
