It’s the time of year I love the most (well, it comes in second to beachin’ season), when you get to pull out your sweaters and scarves, wear jeans with flip flops, drink hot apple cider, enjoy the wood-burning fireplace in my living room, and carve pumpkins!!! In true Terrace Avenue fashion, we turn every activity into an excuse to get together and have a Girls Night and pumpkin carving was no different. Shannon, Bonnie, and I had dinner, shared a couple Twisted Sisters cupcakes, opened a bottle of spiced wine (sooo yummy) and made a complete mess of Shannon’s kitchen table. The best part of the night was only 5 minutes into the pumpkin carving, when Shannon cut the top out of her pumpkin, dropped the whole thing in the seed bowl and said, “Ok, this is usually when Andy takes over and my only job is to drink wine.” Luckily, we were able to persuade her with a pair of heavy duty rubber gloves, a long metal spoon (cause even with the gloves she was NOT pulling those seeds out), a few professional pumpkin carving tools, and another glass of wine. Another fun night with the girls.
