I had a friend once who came over to our house to help with painting one of the larger rooms in our house. We told her we would pay her but she was happy to do it even for free. My parents paid her at the end of the day and a few days later they received a thank you card in the mail. She wrote them a card thanking them for their generosity. We were all floored that she would even think to send a thank you card because they paid her for her hours on a ladder with a paint can. In her note, she wrote a message that I will never forget. She said, “I truly believe that God blesses some so that they can bless others.” I don’t know why that simple message hit me so hard that day, it’s all over every website for every charity in existence. But for some reason this just made it all make sense. We passed that card around to all the ladies at my mom’s office and all the family members we could because it had the same effect on all of us – to remind us that our blessings are from God and He gives them to us so that we can bless others.
Well, getting to my more recent story… someone recently passed their blessings onto me. I won’t tell you what it was or who it was, because for starters it was anonymous so I don’t even know who it was and secondly, because they chose to be anonymous for a reason so I’ll keep the details of their blessings to myself. This person (or people, whoever you are) has provided for me in a way that I could never have imagined and lifted such a weight off of my shoulders. Stress and anxiety have been like extra roommates in my house over the past few months and this blessing came just at the right time when these unwanted roommates were really starting to become more of a daily presence in the house.
So I just wanted to say thank you for your thoughtfulness, your sacrifice, your heart, and your blessing in my life. I hope I will have the opportunity to share my blessings with you or that you receive it from someone else. What goes around always comes around, and it’s only because of God’s calling and people like you who respond to His calling. You may or may not know the ins and outs of my recent life, but I can assure you that you’ll never know how much this means to me.
Thank you.
