I’ve been waiting a long time to post this:
A piano created to make beautiful music, now silent.
A sandy beach waiting for sandy feet, now desolate.
A treasured prize, tarnished and scratched.
A rose, its beauty stomped out on the pavement.
A wrapped gift meant to be opened and enjoyed, torn apart.
A peaceful home, wrecked and bleeding.
A book meant to be read, now closed on the shelf.
A photo capturing a subtle smile, glass shattered.
A vase of flowers, crippled from neglect.
A scrapbook of memories, thrown out with the trash.
A candle, its wax dripping as the flame flickers away.
A promise, a future, a life, ripped away.
A trusting and faithful heart, broken.
Eternal hope, true joy, and unbroken promises come from the Lord.
“I am the Lord your God. You’re my beloved child.
I will keep you. I will hold you through the night.
I will love you. I will lead you to the light.”
-Aletheia Band, Harrisonburg VA
I am moved beyond words. God will “hold you through the night and lead you” just as Cameron wrote. Remember . . . “I know the plans I have for you” and Ps. 32:8 “I will instruct you , says the Lord according to the right pathway. I will uphold you with my right hand.”
so sorry for your broken heart, sweet girl. I can’t wait to see what your future holds. the life you were meant to live. I know it will wonderful and as amazing as you are! you are loved~
Psalm 34:17-18
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted
and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
