I did something tonight that I haven’t done in nearly 10 years… sing. I’ve done my fair share of singing “Oh Holy Night” during our family Christmas party and a couple of quartets with my cousins during Easter because all the women love to hear the song “Sing Me to Heaven”, but I haven’t really done any singing in front of non-family people since college.
Tonight I sang an a cappella rendition of Amazing Grace and although I was super nervous to even get up there, God gave me the strength and peace to do it.
“Amazing grace, how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now am found, was blind but now I see.
Through many dangers, toils, and snares I have already come. Tis grace that brought me here thus far, and grace will lead me home.”
