on tempo

I was on my way to work one very early Monday morning, and the radio show host was asking what are the most strange things that people do, like weird habits, unusual tendencies, idiosyncracies, etc.

I talk to myself on tempo.  Now it gets weirder.  I don’t talk to myself in conversation on tempo because that would be weird enough, but I go even farther into weirdom and repeat a single phrase over and over and over in my head while I walk.  As I’m leaving work, someone will say  “I’ll see you tomorrow!” and I’ll walk out to my car, repeating “I’ll-see-you-to-mo-row” to the tempo that I walk.

That’s what happens when you mix Show Choir with Marching Band, all in one high schooler’s unfortunate social atmostphere.
